Marques Redd is a traditional African cosmologist, independent scholar, and multimedia artist focused on reclaiming and evolving African knowledge systems for the 21st century. His work centers on the rich traditions of ancient Egyptian and West African cosmologies, with a particular emphasis on the spiritual role of queer African gatekeepers. Redd's academic background includes an AB from Harvard University and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
