Glass Sculptures

There is a long tradition of the artistic use of glass in ancient Egypt. As Idea Furnace artists-in-residence at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, Marques Redd and Mikael Owunna are studying that archive deeply in order to gain inspiration for a series of sculptures of Kemetic deities that they are producing. An exhibition is being planned for March 2024.
